Frequently Asked Questions
-
I have a virtual office & as long as you are physically located in the Great State of Texas, I am happy to be your online therapist.
-
Online therapy is much like in-person therapy and is equally effective. The key is to find a comfortable and private space where you can log in at your appointment time. Wearing earbuds or noise-canceling headphones can enhance focus and engagement. All sessions are conducted on a HIPAA-compliant platform to ensure confidentiality and security.
-
Sessions are billed for 60 minutes but typically last 50-55 minutes, with the remaining 5-10 minutes reserved for note-taking and scheduling.
-
No. However, my online therapy sessions operate similarly to in-person therapy and are as equally effective.

I am private pay and do not accept insurance. See my Fees page for pricing.
Private-pay keeps your identity strictly confidential between you and me. No submitting your personal information for insurance claims. Filing with insurance also requires a mental disorder diagnosis that becomes a permanent part of your medical record.
In some cases, therapy may be tax deductible. Consult your tax expert. Investing in therapy is the best long term investment for all aspects of your life.
-
While I do not accept insurance directly, I am considered an Out-of-Network (OON) provider with most insurance companies. I can provide you with a superbill, which you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement. Depending on your plan, the reimbursement rate for OON services may make the cost of sessions comparable to, or even less than, seeing an in-network therapist,

Let's discuss what’s on your mind, and I’ll let you know how I can support you. While I specialize in working with clients managing stress therapy and have a career focus, I work with all kinds of clients. If we are a good a fit, our work will be both rewarding and effective in addressing your needs. My goal is to help with whatever is bothering you, whether it’s something specific or more general.

No worries! I understand it can feel intimidating to be vulnerable and unsure of where to start. Our consultation call is not a therapy session—think of it like setting up a doctor’s appointment. We’ll cover basics like paperwork, availability, and I'll share a bit about my therapy style. I’ll ask a few questions, but there's no pressure—'I’m not ready to answer that' is a perfectly acceptable response. You’ll also have a chance to ask me any questions, and if nothing comes to mind, that’s okay too. You can always bring them up in session later.
